Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe | Our Story

The Olde fashioned way since 2010

We opened our shop with one rule: we do it the right way or we don't do it at all. Here we are, over a decade later, and every bagel is still hand-rolled, kettle-boiled, and baked on premises every single morning.
Family owned, community driven

Family owned, community driven

In our family, Sunday meant one thing: bagel day. We’d gather around the table with a dozen bagels, some slices of lox, and a pound of scallion cream cheese. So when we decided to open our business, we knew it had to be bagels. Made the right way. Since opening our shop in 2010, we’ve been dedicated to providing our community with the absolute best bagels around.
Bagels made the right way

Bagels made the right way

Every bagel we serve here is hand-rolled, dropped into a kettle of boiling water, then baked on premises until the crust is just right, every single morning. That's what gives you the dense, chewy, stretchy texture that a real bagel is supposed to have.
Spoiled for choice

Spoiled for choice

Make your bagel YOUR way. We've got over 30 homemade cream cheese flavors, tons of breakfast options including the NYC classic bacon egg and cheese, and dozens of signature sandwiches. The choices are almost overwhelming. But we'll always be here to help you choose something delicious, just ask for a recommendation!
Cultural phenomenon

Cultural phenomenon

We decided to bring a little taste of our culture to the community - the Za'atar bagel. Za'atar is a Palestinian blend of spices comprised of thyme, oregano, sumac, marjoram, and toasted sesame seeds. It is a staple in all Palestinian households, most especially for breakfast, so it was a no-brainer for us to create this bagel. And it's been a huge hit ever since. We recommend pairing it with sundried tomato or roasted garlic cream cheese!
Noticed. And then some.

We've been featured on Eater New York, Tasting Table, Everything is Everything and BagelUp. But honestly? We think the line out the door every weekend speaks for itself.
